Last Post
Hello, this will be my last blog post besides the one of one of the projects I have done. I will hopefully have that done by tomorrow. I am a little worried because I do not know whether or not i will be able to finish my Final Project in time for the deadline this Friday. This is because my storyboard project took over five days to complete. I was having some problems trying to get my music and storyboard into iMovie. It took so long that I couldn't start my Final project until Tuesday. I have been coming into the lab before school and during homeroom trying to finish it. I can not stay after school because of basketball but I would be doing that too. I don't think I will be able to finish it. I only hope that I can because that project is worth fourteen percent of my grade and if I do not finish it it will kill my grade. Wish me luck!!! Adios.

Winter :)
I like winter. My birthday is in the winter. It is on January fifteenth. I like winter also because I love Christmas. It is one of my favorite holidays along with St. Patrick's Day. St. Pat's Day is also in the winter. Winter has my three favorite days of the year. I also like winter because i love snow. I like how it gives us snow days. One year, we had four snow days in a row. It was awesome!!!! Maybe we will have another big snowstorm this year. I like getting snowed in. I do NOT like the cold though. I don't mind winter but if its going to be cold it might as well snow. I don't like cold by itself. College basketball is in the winter too and I love watching it. Overall, winter is a good season. I commented on Jessie Blair's blog.

Newscast Project Experience
I had a pretty good newscast experience so far. I have not had a chance to record because the day we finished our script, it somehow got deleted from my computer and I had to completely rewrite it. This set us back so we haven't finished it yet. I like the newscast project though because I thought it was pretty fun and was not that difficult. I hope we do more partner projects because I like those best. Hopefully I will be able to finish recording tomorrow. :) I commented on Maggie Rothan's blog.
The Things I Am Thankful For
There are many things for which I am thankful. I am thankful for my family above all. Without them I would have nothing because my family is everything. I am thankful also for all of my friends. I am thankful for God. I am thankful for my good education and the opportunities that arise from it. I am thankful for my house that keeps me warm in the winter. I am thankful for the opportunity I have to play sports like soccer, basketball, and water skiing. I am thankful for the University of Notre Dame. I am thankful for my life in general.

Political Cartoon
My Invention
If I were to invent something, I would invent a machine that would clean my room for me. I hate cleaning my room. I am gone so much that I usually am too tired to make sure I keep that clean. My mom would then get mad at me and make me clean my room. Having a machine that could do all that for me would definitely complicate my life a little less. I would have more time for other thing that i would normally not have time to do. The machine would help me be a little more organized because I am not the most organized person, and that will sometimes get me into a little bit of trouble. So a machine that could clean rooms would be what I would invent if I was an inventor.

Podcast Experience
I had a pretty good experience with our podcast project. I did my podcast on the Happenning. It is the scariest movie I have ever seen. I haven't had too many problems with it. However, I had to record my podcast a couple times because it erased. It took me awhile after I re-did it becuse it took a long time for the podcast to save on my flash drive. That was Probably because audio takes longer to save than pictures or documents. I like making the podcast though, because it was easy and all you had to do was follow the directions closely and you could figure it out.

Life Lesson
When I was in fifth grade, my little brother was hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit at OSF St. Francisis Medical Center. He was eight years old and had gotten a cut on his knee. Doctors stitcheed it up and thought it was ok. They were wrong. His leg got extremely infected and his body went into toxic shock. He was lucky to escape with his leg, let alone his life. This experience taught me how quickly life can change for the better, and for the worse, and to be grateful for every moment because it could disappear in the blink of an eye. My Report Card
I feel pretty good about my report card from first quarter. I have two B's and the rest A's. I have B's in Literature and Spanish. My literature grade has been steadily rising so I think that will be an A by the end of the semester. Spanish will be more difficult. My teacher is Mrs. Zidrich and I think likes it when we do poorly. That class is impossible. I might be able to get in A in Spanish as well, though, by the end of the semester. My grade has risen a little bit. Please wish me luck because I will need it! I commented on Tricia Shadid's blog.

New Logo for Peoria
I went on the website where citizens of Peoria are allowed to vote for the new logo people want for Peoria. I didn't like very many of the logos so that was a bummer. To me they looked fake. I did have a favorite thoough that I decided to vote for. It had a white road running through the middle of the circularly shaped icon. There was gold and green on eaech side of the road. This road led to two white buildings that were set up against a background of blue. Under this icon, it said "The City of Peoria". This was my favorite logo. I commented on Jessie Blair's blog.
My Favorite Halloween Costume
My favorite Halloween costume was probably my costume from seventh grade. I have a twin brother named Connor and my friends and I were joking about siamese twins and they said Connor and I should be that for Halloween. We thought it was and good idea. We went out and bought the biggest gray sweatshirt we could find(XXL). We printed a design that said siamese twins in the front and both wore sweatpants and both squeezed into the same sweatshirt and our costume was finished. It was our best one but being stuck together wasn't as fun as we thought it would be. We ended up falling down a hill because Connor tripped and since I was attached, I fell with him.

iPhoto
We are starting a new project this week in our computer class. We have to collect 20 photos that describe our name and our hobbies or things we like to do. A song to go along with our pictures is also required. Students have had difficulties with the iPhoto program, including myself. My pictures would not save and it makes it hard to complete the project when you have to worry about things not saving. Besides that, the project isn't bad at all. I can not wait to finish because I think the project will be fun. I commented on Connor Schuler's blog.

News Letter
My group has made more progress on our newsletter. We have our group article done. I have finished my personal article. the article I wrote was about twin day. It is about one hundred-and-forty words long so I definitely have enough length. Maggie C. and Maggie R. are both almost done with their articles as well. we have also picked out our pictures for the newsletter. I can't wait to put it all together!!
I posted on Jessica Blair's blog.

Physical Development
I plan to help my physical development in a variety of ways. I have been working hard in my pre-season basketball conditioning. This started a little over a month ago. we lift, jump rope, and then we go to a gym to play. Because of this, I should be in good shape by the time basketball season rolls around. Then i will have soccer and that will get me in even better shape. This is how i plan to nurture my spiritual development.

News Letter
I am excited for my new assignment! We have to make a newsletter about homecoming week in groups of three. In my group here is Maggie Rothan, Maggie Clark, and myself. We are hoping to make ours creative with pictures and stuff like that. I can not wait to see how it will turn out! I hope you enjoy it Mrs. Brown! We are hoping to finish it up soon because it is due on next Wednesday and we would not want it to be late. I commented on Hannah Ward's blog.
Inellectual Progress
I plan to make a lot of progress intellectually this year. I am no a freshman anymore so i know what to expect and I will not be caught by surprise. I should to spend more time studying this year than I did last year because I think that will help may grades immensely. I have a tendency to rush through work so I also intend to take more time on my assignments. This is how I want to improve academically.

This week in our computer education class we are working on Power Points for a specific saint. We will be presenting these to the class. So far I am on my third slide because it took me a while to figure out the setup of the program. There are some subtle differences between PC and Mac PowerPoint versions. I like it though. My saint is Saint Brigid of Kildare. She is an Irish saint. So far I have only put in information but I can't wait to do pictures.
Emotional Development
There are many ways I plan to nurture my emotional development this year. I will probably be put in situations I am not familiar with. I have to be able to learn from my mistakes and do it right the next time. When you make a mistake you have to move past it. I will try to do that and imrove through my mistakes. Happier people are people who don't let things get them down.

Mission Statement
After reading the Mission Statement, I plan on nurturing my spiritual development by going the the confession offered during homeroom. I may not be able to go every week, but I will do the best that I can. So far I have been enjoying the storyboard assignment, which I finished today. It seems fun but I'm not the most creative person so we'll see how it goes. I have twelve slides right now which is where Mrs. Brown said we should be. I will turn that in tomorrow in class. Talk to you later. =]

Welcome To My Blog!!
Hello! I am a high school sophomore and I am taking a technology course. So far, i have done an essay on banned books and two documents using the Numbers program. I just figured out how to set up my blog. It was kind of difficult because my internet connection at home is really slow but I got it. I haven't had many problems with my technology class but I'm not used to using a mac and we are moving kind of fast. I have only ever used PCs. Otherwise, it is going well. I picked the song Change by Taylor Swift for my storyboard that I am going to make. I think I am going to use the last verse of the song for the project. It should be fun because I haven't done an assignment like this before.
